The High Performance Golf program is aimed at increasing the depth and competitiveness of female golfers representing Victoria.

The program offers a sound high performance pathway to allow athletes to monitor progress and aim for selection into the Victorian Institute of Sport, Golf Australia National Squad and Australian Institute of Sport.

Orders of Merit

The objectives of the WGV Averages and Ranking Trophies are to give Victorian female amateur golfers an indication of their performances during the WGV Calendar season, and to provide them with the opportunity to gain State Team or Squad selection. Five separate trophies will be awarded to the leading player in each category and will be collated from the Victorian Amateur Championship 2010 to the 31st July 2011.

Entry

In be eligible to win a WGV Average/Ranking Trophy, players must enter the WGV Average/Ranking Trophy. Results under each Trophy will be used by Selector's for Victorian State Squad and Team selections; therefore players must enter the trophies to be considered for Junior and Senior State Team selection.

**Please note: The WGV Averages & Rankings will conclude at the presentations of the Victorian Foursomes Championships on Monday 11th July 2011, and not on the 31st July as outlined on the entry form.

WGV may make updates to this Calendar from time to time. As changes are made they will be communicated here and to all players entered in Averages and Ranking events.

Eligibility

Open to female amateur players with a Golf Australia women's handicap, at an affiliated club, and who are permanent residents in the state of Victoria.

Note - Players who do not have Australian Citizenship may enter the Trophy, however they will not be eligible for State Team or representative selection.

Tournament Nominations

If your club has an open age, junior, mid amateur or senior tournament that is eligible to be included in the WGV Averages & Ranking Trophies for 2010-11, please get the club to fill out the Nomination Form and return to Stephanie at WGV via email, fax or post or click here to fill out a form online.
