June Griffith Trophy
The June Griffith Trophy is a scoring average system for all Victorian female amateur golfers. Each round completed by a player in an event categorised as Open, as listed on the 2010-2011 WGV Average/Ranking Calendar, is used in the calculation of that player's scoring average for the season. The winner of the June Griffith trophy is the player who has the lowest adjusted scoring average by the 31st July 2011.

A player is only eligible to win the June Griffith Trophy if she has completed at least 20 of the total rounds available for Open category events on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar. The best 20 rounds for that player will be used to calculate their scoring average, and each round is adjusted to an AWCR/Rating of 72. To obtain a scoring average under the June Griffith Trophy, a player must enter the 2010-2011 WGV Average/Ranking Trophies, hold a Golf Australia handicap, and be a member of a WGV affiliated golf club.

Congratulations to the following players who won a trophy or prize for the 2010-11 WGV Averages & Ranking Trophies. These trophies were presented at the conclusion of the Victorian Foursomes Championship at Royal Melbourne Golf Club on Friday 23rd July!

Conditions 2010-11
1. The June Griffith Trophy is awarded to the player with the lowest adjusted scoring average as collated from the specified events on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar;
2. Only events categorized as Open are included in the calculation of the June Griffith Trophy averages;
3. To be eligible to win this trophy, a player must -
(a) Complete 20 rounds of the total number of Open category rounds available on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar;
(b) Enter the June Griffith Trophy by completing the 2010/2011 Average/Ranking Trophies entry form within the specified time frame;
(c) Be a member of an affiliated golf club;
(d) Hold an official Golf Australia handicap;
4. The June Griffith Trophy Averages are recorded from the best 20 rounds completed and adjusted to an AWCR/Rating of 72 for each round;
5. The winner of the June Griffith Trophy will receive automatic selection into WGV's 2011 State Team, providing they meet State Team player eligibility;
6. Trophies will be awarded to the Winner and Runner-Up (Gross) as at the conclusion of the 2011 Victorian Amateur Championship.
NB: WGV has the right to adjust the required number of rounds played as necessary. Any adjustments will be communicated to all participants.
