State Ranking Trophy
The State Ranking Trophy is a ranking system where points are allocated for specified events and are earned according to the position a player finishes in a given field. The better the position a player finishes in an event compared to their fellow Victorian representatives, the more points that will be earned. The weighting of points falls more heavily for leading Victorian player's in major national or Victorian State events. The player with the most accumulated points for the season will win the State Ranking Trophy.

A player is only eligible to win the State Ranking Trophy if she has completed at least 20 of the total rounds available for Open category events on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar. To obtain a ranking under the State Ranking Trophy, a player must enter the 2010-2011 WGV Average/Ranking Trophies, hold a Golf Australia handicap, and be a member of a WGV affiliated golf club.

Conditions 2010-11
1. The State Ranking Trophy is awarded to the player with the largest amount of accumulated points obtained from the specified State Ranking Events on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar;
2. The ranking system is designed to rank players according to finishing position in an event in relation to their fellow Victorian athletes, regardless of the score;
3. Ranking points are set out for events categorized as Open only, and are weighted more heavily for the main Victorian and National events;
4. To be eligible to win the State Ranking Trophy, a player must -
(a) Complete 20 rounds of the total number of specified rounds available on the WGV Average/Ranking Calendar;
(b) Enter the State Ranking Trophy by completing the 2010/2011 Average/Ranking Trophies entry form within the specified time frame;
(c) Be a member of an affiliated golf club;
(d) Hold an official Golf Australia handicap;
5. The winner of the State Ranking Trophy will receive automatic selection into WGV's 2011 State Team, providing they meet State Team player eligibility;
6. Trophies will be awarded to the Winner and Runner Up as at the conclusion of the 2011 Victorian Amateur Championship.
NB: WGV has the right to adjust the required number of rounds played as necessary. Any adjustments will be communicated to all participants.
