The High Performance Golf program is aimed at increasing the depth and competitiveness of female golfers representing Victoria.

The program offers a sound high performance pathway to allow athletes to monitor progress and aim for selection into the Victorian Institute of Sport, Golf Australia National Squad and Australian Institute of Sport.

Future Champions

The Future Champions Series is currently under review. More details will be posted here shortly.

The Future Champions Series is open to junior girls with a Golf Australia handicap of twenty five (25) or less. Participants in the series have the opportunity to attend training sessions with the WGV State Coach and compete in selected events for the chance to win the Future Champions Grant.

There will also be an opportunity for girls to gain selection for junior intrastate and interstate experiences throughout the year. The Future Champions Series is designed to ensure continued player development opportunities for elite junior players and to encourage a high standard of play under the auspices of WGV. Averages will be collated from 1st January 2008  to 5 October 2008 and will include the 'nominated' events and junior events listed on the 2008 WGV Junior Calendar.

NB: 2008 will be the last year the Future Champions Series continues in its current form. From July 2008 WGV has introduced the Junior Averages Trophy that will run from Victorian Amateur Championship to Victorian Amateur Championship. WGV is planning to provide junior girls with handicaps less than 25 a series of training days throughout 2009 to replace the Future Champions Series.
