Robert Allenby Scholarships 2010

Robert Allenby is one of the best Victorian golfers to take on the world stage. As a top amateur and VIS scholarship holder, Robert turned professional in 1991 and made his mark in Europe and the US. Some of his achievements include victories in four PGA tour events, four European tour events and twelve Australian PGA events, including winning the "triple crown" in 2005 (Australian Masters, Australian PGA and Australian Open).

In an effort to help young Victorian golfers achieve success, Robert established the "Robert Allenby Scholarships". Each year, one nominated golfer is awarded $4000 to support the players coaching, golf development and tournament participation, as well as full Srixon equipment support and the opportunity to attend the Robert Allenby Charity Event Dinner at Crown Casino on Monday 13th December.

In addition to the main scholarship, Robert Allenby hosts an event in conjunction with the Robert Allenby Charity Day. This will be held at Yarra Yarra G.C on Monday 6th December 2010 (7:30am shotgun). The leading male and female player on this day will receive a $1000 travel and support grant. This event is only open to invited junior golfers (please keep an eye out for an invitation via email).

More details regarding the scholarships for 2010 will be posted here shortly.

Due to the amateur status of the recipients, WGV will hold all scholarship monies in relation to the Robert Allenby Scholarships. Please contact stephanie@womensgolf.org.au regarding reimbursement of your scholarship funds.
