State Squad
The State Squad consists of twelve of the highest ranked Victorian female golfers. The State Squad provides players access to WGV State coaching and training sessions. From this squad, six players are selected to represent Victoria in the Victorian State Team.
2011 State Squad
The 2011 WGV State Squad will be announced during the week following the Victorian 72 Hole Strokeplay (Nell Smithett) Championship in February 2011.
All WGV State Squad members will receive a letter of invitation into the squad.
To be eligible for selection players must:
- Enter the June Griffith or State Ranking Trophy from the 2010-2011 WGV Averages/Ranking Trophies
- Be a member of an affiliated WGV golf club
- Hold an official Golf Australia handicap
- Be an Australian citizen

The dates for the 2011 WGV State Squad training sessions are as follows:
- Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th February @ Rosanna Golf Club (Squad Assessment Camp TBC)
- Sunday 13th March @ Kingston Heath Golf Club
- Saturday 14th May @ Venue TBC
- Sunday 29th May @ Metropolitan Golf Club
- Sunday 19th June @ Metropolitan Golf Club
- Sunday 3rd July @ Long Island Golf Club
The State Squad will receive training between March and July 2010 with WGV's State Coach Peter Knight (http://www.golfpossibilities.com.au/)
