The High Performance Golf program is aimed at increasing the depth and competitiveness of female golfers representing Victoria.

The program offers a sound high performance pathway to allow athletes to monitor progress and aim for selection into the Victorian Institute of Sport, Golf Australia National Squad and Australian Institute of Sport.

WGV State Team

Congratulations to the Victorian State Team for being joint winners of the Gladys Hay Interstate Series with QLD! This Interstate Series win breaks a 14 year drought for Victoria. Well done to everyone involved!

The 2010 State Team consisted of the best six female amateur players in Victoria and were trained by WGV State Coach Peter Knight in the lead up to the Australian Gladys Hay Interstate Series, held at MacLeod Golf Club from the 13th - 17th September.

State Team Training Information

 

Training sessions for the Victorian State Team will be held the following dates: 

       - Saturday 31st July & Sunday 1st August
                                       *Weekend State Team Camp at Moonah Links Golf Academy 
                                       *Includes overnight accommodation at AIS facility, 9 holes on open course, training with WGV State 
                                        Coach Peter Knight and Sports Physiologist Trent Malcolm.   
                                       *Nike uniform try-on on Saturday morning.   

       - Sunday 22nd August (Spring Valley G.C)
                                       *9am - 4pm
                                       *On course session in afternoon

       - Sunday 5th September (Spring Valley G.C)
                                        *9am - 4pm
                                        *Zaidee representative to speak to team
                                        *On course session in afternoon
                                        *Nike uniforms to be received, Titleist equipment to be received

These training sessions will be for the six team members and the two non-travelling emergencies.
