Getting Started
The best place to get started in golf is to visit your local golf club to see what junior programs they have running. Most clubs offer a school holiday program and many have clinics running on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

TRI GOLF - click here for entry form |
The Tri Golf program is exactly as the name suggests, an opportunity for kids to "try golf". As the name also suggests there are three phases to the program: 1. Learning Phase - Including a "Big Golf Day Out" and professional coaching clinics. 2. On Course Phase - To develop familiarity with playing golf on the course, including basic rules and etiquette. 3. Competition Phase - To provide basic competition experiences over 9 holes. The "Tri Golf" program is a joint initiative of Women's Golf Victoria and Stuart Appleby Junior Golf and supported by Sport and Recreation Victoria. The program is designed to provide children with a coordinated and sustainable approach to taking up the game of golf. The program is run over a 6 month period. Click here for media release |
