Second Final - Devilbend GC
Over seventy pairs made the journey to Devilbend Golf Club for the second final of the Doris Chambers Cup. The course presented very well, however the light rain impacted on the scores in the morning field with most groups struggling in the light rain. In contrast to most pairs, Sue Kazenwadel and Di Betts (combined handicap of 20), representing Riversdale, overcame the conditions to finish with a very good score of 39 points to win the morning field event and the overall daily event from Lee Clements and Betty Thomson, Korumburra on a countback.

A big thank you to the Devilbend Golf Club Management and members who allowed us run this event at their club, and demonstrated not just a magnificent golf course, but wonderful support and hospitality to all players and Golf Victoria staff. Click here for full results
First Final - Goonawarra GC
It was a windy but warm day for the players some of who arrived at the early hours in the morning for the 7.45am shotgun-start. Camperdown GC had the best round in the morning with 37 points followed by The Dunes Golf Club who took the runner up position with 36 points on a count back from Ballarat Golf Club. However, the overall winners came from the afternoon field, with Medway Golf Club taking the cup with 39 points. For Arlene Johnstone, one of the Medway players, it will be the second time her name is engraved on this beautiful trophy. Arlene won it 19 years ago representing East Framlingham GC. Great effort! Yarrawonga Mulwala was well represented as well with Samantha Churchin and Kathleen Peters being the overall runners up with 38 points. Well done!
The support from Goonawarra Golf Club was greatly appreciated by players and Golf Victoria. The course was in very good condition and the ladies from the golf club helped us to make the day run smoothly. Thank you very much to all involved!
Overall, it was a great day and we look forward to second final in a week's time!
